FOOTBALL 

JULY 22nd & 23rd - Evaluations at Baycreek Park 

 Players must have plastic molded or detachable cleats, shorts, T-Shirt, and Water.  8th Grade will also need helmets and mouth pieces.  Schedules & Locations are below:  

 First evaluations is from 6pm to 7:30pm which include ages 6 to 10 years old

6 & 7 year olds - No Evaluations - Only one team per age group

8 year olds - Bay Creek Football Field - Scoreboard end of field

9 year olds - Bay Creek Football Field - Concession end of the field 

10 year olds - Bay Creek Football Field - Area behind the scoreboard

 Second evaluation/practice period is from 7:30pm to 9pm

 for 11 year olds to 8th Grade

 11 Year olds - Bay Creek Football Field - Area behind the scoreboard

 12 year olds - Bay Creek Football Field - Concession end of the field

 8th grade practice (7:30pm to 9:30pm) - Bay Creek Football Field - Scoreboard end

JULY 22ND - EVALUATIONS 

 Evaluations for 3rd through 7th grades will be on July 22nd at Grayson High School 

3rd  grade – 5:30

4th grade – 6:00

5th grade – 6:30

6th grade – 7:00

7th grade – 7:30

All cheerleaders in 3rd-7th grades must be evaluated per GFL rules.  They will be taught a short cheer, chant and jump.  All cheerleaders must have on tennis shoes for evaluations.

JULY 27 - JULY 30 - GAA CAMP AT GHS FROM 6:00-8:30

Season practices start the week of August 3rd.  Jamboree will be held on August 15th and the first regular season game will be August 22rd.

Fall Softball Evaluations

Fall Baseball Tryouts

Tryouts will be on Sunday, August 9th. See below for the tryout schedule. Have your child bring a glove, bat and batting helmet to the tryout process. 

 TeeBall Ages (4,5 & 6): Field 8 at 2 pm 

PeeWee: Ages (7 & 8): Field 7 at 2 pm 

Minors Ages (9 & 10): Field 2 at 2 pm 

Majors: Ages (11 & 12) Field 3 at 2 pm 

Pony: Ages (13 & 14) Field 1 at 2 pm 

Senior League Ages (15 thru 18) TBA

LACROSSE

GAA Hosting Girls Lacrosse Clinic June 9th, 10th, and 11th
Time is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  

Camp is open to new or experienced players who are Rising 1st through Rising 8th Graders.  

This Camp will be headed by the new Grayson Hight School Girls Lacrosse Coach and US Lacrosse Coaching Trainer Kate Levell.

This will be a great opportunity for girls of all skill levels.

 The Campers will work on: 

      • correcting mechanics for accuracy and consistency
      • Knock Downs, Stick Protection, shooting, stickwork
      • defensive position, midfield transition concepts, cutting
      • game understanding, footwork and agility

The 2015 Fall Season for Boys and Girls is now open for registration.  


Once again in 2015 we will be playing out of the Newtown Lacrosse league against teams like Johns Creek, Cambridge, Lassiter, etc.  
However, this year we plan to field teams in every age group offered by Newtown for both boys and girls.
The age groups will be by grade and they are the same for both the boys and the girls.  The age groups are;

            • 2nd/3rd Grade;
            • 4th/5th Grade;
            • 6th/7th Grade; and 
            • 7th/8th Grade
